Picking away at the fanlisting to-do list. Today’s update is a very good birb, Articuno! I adopted this one out some years ago, but when it was removed I had to reopen it. Made a new layout because the old one was horrendous.
You can find all updates for the red crown network here, sorted by category.
If you have any comments, feel free to leave them in the guestbook.
Apparently I’ve forgotten to make update posts here, whoops. I’ve opened a bunch of new fanlistings this year despite being on hiatus! And I have a few more upcoming, so there’s more updates to come. In order of approval:
- Pokémon – Dragonair (reopened with old layout, will revamp at some point)
- Life is Strange (co-owned with Rems!)
- Fullmetal Alchemist – Alphonse Elric
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
- Battlestar Galactica (adopted from Crissy)
- Pokémon – Latias
That last one comes with a very minor fansite revamp; no content changes but I redid a lot of the coding and made it responsive, so it should at least be viewable on mobile.
The recode project continues! Here are the minor tweaks of note.
· 20 years old had a very small update; I had to remove the streaming playlist due to a coding error, so I’ve added links to other places to check out ONE OK ROCK’s music. This site is incredibly outdated and in dire need of a revamp; it’s a high priority for 2016.
· Rare Candy had some minor tweaks. This collective will probably be a low priority until the new games come out.
· Updated the about page on the RuroKen Kyoto arc fanlisting to talk about the newer adaptations. I’d still like to turn this into a fansite, but it’s another one that’s very low on the priority list. So many sites, so little time, etc.
New fanlisting! This one is for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, along with the remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Hoenn was my absolute favorite generation back in the day, and the remakes are amazing. If you never played R/S (or did and loved them), you should absolutely pick up OR/AS.
Rare Candy has been updated to reflect the new site. Quick note: while Rare Candy is a fansite collective, I made an exception for this; I have no intentions of turning this into a fansite. Not really sure what I’d talk about; I used to run a Pokémon fansite ten years ago but all of the content I had was 1) terrible and 2) stuff you can find on Bulbapedia/Serebii nowadays. Not really much point, as much as I love Hoenn. Also, I’m pretty sure no one needs a guide on how to catch Feebas in the original games at this point.
Anyway, my big project right now is a fansite for FFXII. It’s turning into a huge project, but I’m having a blast with it. Look for it soon.
Happy new year! Have a site for one of my favorite legendary Pokémon, Latias: Soul Dew. I had a lot of fun building it; I haven’t worked on any new Pokémon sites since last May and I’d forgotten how enjoyable they are. Rare Candy and my other two Pokémon sites have been updated to reflect the new site.
I’m working on a couple of different site projects right now; my inspiration is kind of all over the place at the moment (as it does). This was just something fun that I could get done quickly in between working on big stuff.
There are also new button donations at Fury Cutter, Imprison, and DIVIDE from Megan of like-knives.org ♥ I am super late in adding them, but thank you again! I also have a new layout for redcrown.net to put up from my Amassment Secret Santa, but I need to do some recoding first; it’ll be up soon.
Minor updates at Defiers of Fate to reflect the fact that the PC version came out on Steam this month. I’d love to add screencaps from the PC version, but I can’t afford it anytime soon, so the media section is limited to concept art for now.
Rare Candy has a new affiliate.
New fanlisting! This one’s for Master Chief from Halo. There are a couple of content sections, from stuff I wrote about a year ago; I don’t have any plans to expand this site, but I figured I’d toss up what I already had.
Productivity continues! Fury Cutter, my Scyther fanlisting, has now been converted into a fansite and moved over to the pkmn subdomain. Like Ninetales, it features several information pages and an expansive picdex covering every game Scyther’s been in. These were really fun projects, and I’m glad I took the time to do them — I had a blast building both sites. Back to the to-do list now!
