Hey! I was working on my treasure hunter achievment for FF13 And your checklist came up which was very useful, but after checking out your website im honestly astonished at the amount of effort you put into this! Tons of lore, media, content, and you're clearly very talented at making websites. Im glad i found itLarissa replied: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found it useful and enjoyed the rest of the site.

I remember finding your rec for Drafted through Fandom Sunshine, and I've finally had a chance to read all of it (while listening to Man with the Machine Gun, naturally). I really enjoyed reading your thoughts about Laguna. He is and always will be the best part of the FFVIII -- and actually, he was my favorite part of the game long before I warmed up to the Squall/Rinoa romance. Thanks for capturing what makes him so loveable! --celesmaicLarissa replied: Thank you so much! I'm so touched that you took the time to read through it and comment here.

That's so kind of you.I don't really use last.fm that much anymore, though! Why don't you just email me instead?

Hi! I just finished reading Drafted and thought I would write you a comment about how gorgeous that shrine is! I love they way you chose to tell Laguna's story and how you included your own personal thoughts to it.Laguna is my favourite FFVIII character too, he is so amazing, so funny and fails so much at life, I always felt that character was custom written for me haha.Your designs are very beautiful and I think you did Laguna great justice with the shrine. Thanks for your hard work!!Larissa replied: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the site. Laguna has long been one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters, and I really enjoyed paying him tribute through that site.

Shout out to you for that super awesome final fantasy xiii treasure checklist. I had just discovered it yesterday and used it. My playstation 3 also suddenly broke last night after all these years, so by the looks of it i don't think i'll ever get the plat for this game. I was so close. Nonetheless, thank you for your help.Larissa replied: Oh no, how terrible! I'm glad I could offer some help in your PS3's final moments, at least...!

So: Larissa, I know we haven't known each other very long, but I wanted to leave a jot about how much I adore your style of shrines - and what a lovely friend you've been to me despite our short acquaintance. First of all, I really appreciate that the moment I joined your Ivalice class clique, you nudged me towards Amassment, and were so utterly prompt in your response. I would have waited WEEKS otherwise to join, honestly, but the fact that I knew one kind person there went such a long way. And the more I've read your work, and listened to you discuss gaming, the more I've become so impressed with your honesty and your insight. Sometimes, when people employ bathos when they write about something like games in a thoughtful way, it comes off like a kind of humblebrag code switching - I'm cool AND academic. But what I always feel when I read your analyses is that this is what your heart is like: frank, no nonsense kthnx, and deeply thoughtful. This is also how I've felt about the feedback you've given me. Some people won't say a negative thing no matter what, but I appreciate that you are truthful in your responses, willing to comment on the good and bad together when it comes to design - it sincerely is what I'm looking for. It matters a lot to me that you strike me as obviously skilled, but you also discussed openly how gaining skill really is just a matter of work, and easy mode is there for a reason - to build the familiarity that allows you to begin processing the necessary gaming components of the next level of difficulty. And, of course, I love Divide. I often think of my brain as very plastic. I will tie myself in knots trying to make sense of Cid's decision to throw the school into Squall's hands. And part of what I appreciate about you is that though you consider things thoroughly, you ain't afraid to call a spade a spade: THIS MAKES NO SENSE. And yet that mentality doesn't preclude feeling Squall's dilemmas deeply, and framing his story as very human. That you do so while noting the surrealism of the surrounding game is very impressive, because I haven't figured out yet how to address the head-scratching parts of some types of stories while fully crediting what I feel and what I think the protagonists feela s a result of that same holey narrative. And, not to hit this point too much, but there is something so nicely experienced abou the way you introduce things. You seem intimately familiar AS A GAMER with the subject matter. I'm thinking of your commentary on how parts of RPGs which don't directly influence story can still generate unique playing experiences because of the unique revelations of the protagonist through small interactions and inputs. TLDR, I very much appreciate you as a friend and thinker.Larissa replied: Sophia, you are so, so kind -- thank you so much, honestly. I'm floundering a bit on how to express how much this means to me but please rest assured that this is a message I'll be coming back to very often. I'm very glad to have met you, and look forward to getting to know you even better from now on. c:

I LOVE YOUR REVAMPED DOMAIN SO MUCH (well ok, Makoto Shinkai bias and me not being familiar with the subject of your last layout) The clean design, the background pattern (something I rarely come across and would never use, but it looks so refreshing and clean here), the different depictions of rain to pay tribute to the movie, the redone network page - and just how CLEAN everything looks aaaaahh!! /rolls around on your network pagesI'm really looking forward to rereading your shrines YET AGAIN, knowing which pages you're particularly fond of this time ehehehe.... I've only just realized just how many pretty men you feature on this network wow. "on the character I should have made a site about" Hokuto still wins it all.Larissa replied: let's pretend this isn't a late reply shhh. Thank you so much, Lethe! You were such an inspiration in putting this layout together and every time I look at it I think of all the support you gave me. Thank you so much. (And yes, Hokuto does win it all~)
