There’s a new layout up at redcrown.net! I’ve really enjoyed working on this for the past few days. The main highlight is the completely revamped sites section, which is now divided by fandom and includes featured sites. I was never satisfied with way the sites page was set up previously, but I’m much happier with this.
In other news, I’ve changed the layout of the guestbook; it had some coding errors so I simplified it. I’ve also disabled comments on the update blog in order to direct them over there, as it’s easier to have everything in one place.
Also, I’ve adopted the fanlisting for the sky! Yes, the bright blue thing up there. I had a ton of fun putting this together, I hope it shows. ♥

This still doesn’t feel real, but: I’ve opened the fanlisting for my favorite musician of all time, Ayumi Hamasaki. Words honestly can’t express how thrilled and excited I am.
I’ve been working on a personal tribute to Ayu since 2008 (not an exaggeration), and needless to say this has kickstarted my motivation to finally sit down and get it finished. I’m hoping to have it done soon; not sure yet on the exact timeline. Stay tuned.

Surprise revamp! I had no plans at all to work on this, but one thing led to another and here we are: the Zack/Aerith (FFVII) fanlisting has been revamped. It’s been moved at long last over to Lucky Sevens, my FFVII collective, and at some point in the future it’ll be expanded into a fansite. No planned date on that either; I expect it’ll be just as unplanned as this was.

Took a break from the great fanlisting recode project (I’m about two-thirds done) to… build a new fanlisting, haha. This one’s for Marinette (Ladybug) & Adrien (Cat Noir) from the animated show Miraculous ♥

Recently, I changed some of the back-end code for the script that powers my fanlistings, and part of the changes I made mean that I’m having to go in and update every single fanlisting. I’ve taken this opportunity to tidy things up on every site — updating information about the subject and making small coding tweaks. Any significant changes will be mentioned here on the blog, and if you see anything that looks odd, I’ll probably be fixing it soon but would appreciate a heads up.
With that said, here are some updates that took place as part of this process:
· Awakening received a housekeeping update; I’ve gone through and cleaned out broken links and added a new entry to the compilation section. I also updated a couple of the album blurbs; since opening the site last year I’ve sought out a number of the albums I covered on the site and can now talk about them.
· uncontrol received a very minor update; mostly I brushed off the virtual dust bunnies. This site just hit its 5th anniversary; I might actually try and make a new layout. Eventually.
· Beyond the Sky had minor tweaks, and I updated the remake page since it’s finally happening.
· after the fire had minor edits. Things still haven’t aligned to allow me to work on this site, and I don’t see it happening until 2017. I would love to work on it sooner, but it’s a project I want to give my full attention to and I won’t be able to do that anytime soon.
· The layout for the Vagrant Story fanlisting was slightly altered to improve contrast and increase readability. You can consider this a PSA to play Vagrant Story.

Two new fanlistings! They’re for Max and Max/Chloe from Life is Strange, a fantastic episodic game that I highly recommend if you’ve not yet played it. The second is co-owned with the lovely Rems—be sure to check out both layouts!

New fanlisting! This one is for one of my favorite game series of all time, Fallout. Had to put it together quickly as I’m very busy these days, which will continue for a while yet.

Two things today.
First, my FFVII collective has been revamped, and has been renamed to Lucky Sevens. I’ve been wanting to rename it for a long while, but had a lot of trouble coming up with a name. I’m happy I finally found one I really like.
Second, the Crisis Core fanlisting has been completely revamped and moved over to the FFVII collective. I’ve been trying to revamp this fanlisting for ages, so I’m very glad I was able to come up with something at long last. There are a few new sets of codes, and it now has information about the game and the site.
Updates from here on out will be much slower. I plan to start working on my Lightning fansite in the coming months, with relevant updates to Defiers of Fate as I make progress.
